Libré Communications

Event Scheduling

General information

The Libré Communications broadcast system has two key concepts when it comes to scheduling an event.

  • An event broadcast
  • An event rebroadcast

It is important to understand the difference between these two key concepts.

An event broadcast

An event broadcast is possible if you have purchased a Libré Communications pricing plan and have registered the included encoder with our system. This means your encoder is located at a venue (e.g an office, presentation room etc.) and either has or is able to have an Internet connection. Please see Equipment Setup for more info.

When you create a new event broadcast you are creating, on the Libré Communications system, new video content of an actual live event that you have organised. This live event could be a meeting, presentation etc. How to schedule a new event broadcast.

An event rebroadcast

An event rebroadcast occurs when you arrange for some video content already available on the Libré Communications system to be shown again, much like a TV repeat.

An event rebroadcast does not necessarily require you to have purchased a Libré Communications pricing plan, however you will need to have purchased access rights, from the video content owner, to show this content again. How to schedule a rebroadcast of an existing event.
