Schedule an Event Broadcast

  1. Login to your Libré Communications account. This will show you your dashboard. If you do not yet have an account, please go to registration process to find out how to register for an account.
  2. Under ‘Actions’ click the ‘Schedule a new broadcast’ link. This will show the ‘New Broadcast’ page. If this link is not showing then you have not purchased and registered an encoder[1]. Please go to schedule an event rebroadcast instead.
  3. Select the encoder you want to broadcast with from the ‘Encoder’ drop-down list. If you have purchased and registered multiple encoders, please ensure you select the correct one.
  4. Give the new broadcast a title. It is helpful if this reflects the content, e.g. June 2012 Board Meeting.
  5. Select the timezone of the venue from where the broadcast will take place.
  6. Click the ‘Start Time’ input box to pop-up a calendar view where you can select the date on which you want the broadcast to start.
  7. Click the input box below to show a drop-down list where you can select the time you want the broadcast to start. Note the list shows increments of 30 minutes. If the start time you require is not available, select the closest and then edit the minutes, e.g select 16:30 and then edit to 16:15.
  8. Do the same for the ‘End Time’ input for date and time.
  9. Select a value for the ‘Disallow’ drop-down list. The disallow value is the period of time after a broadcast has finished for which it is still possible to login and view the broadcast[2]. Select ‘Never’ to allow the broadcast to always be viewable.
  10. For more information on options under the ‘show advanced options’ link please go to event broadcast advanced options.
  11. Click ‘Save’ to schedule the selected encoder to start and stop broadcasting at the specified date and time.
  12. Once you have scheduled a new broadcast you will be shown details of the broadcast and shown links where you can edit, cancel and delete the broadcast or invite attendees.
  13. [1]If this is incorrect please contact technical support on support@librecommunications.com

[2]E.g If you have scheduled a broadcast to finish at 16:30 but you would like to still be able to login and view the broadcast up to 18:00, you would select 90 minutes. After 18:00 it would not be possible to login and view the broadcast unless you scheduled a rebroadcast.
