Libré Communications

Event Broadcast - Advanced Options

Please Note: These options are intended for experienced media broadcasters. In general the default settings that the Libré encoders select are the preferred settings.

Cache limit

This option sets the amount of video that will be stored in the media player's buffer. Generally the default value of 30 seconds is the preferred setting. Situations were it may be necessary to adjust this value include scenarios where the viewers Internet connection is intermittent with wide variations in the download speed from one moment to the next. Setting a higher Cache limit value would allow these speed variations to be smoothed out.

Resolution

The Libré encoders are auto-sensing. This means they automatically detect the input resolution from the input source camera feed and set the output resolution accordingly. This option allows the output resolution to be manually set for the broadcast. With this option it would be possible to output a broadcast at the lower mHD resolution, even though the input source camera feed was at the higher uHD resolution.
